But to his dismay, Eliseo Berriotxoa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Miranda in the 18th minute of the match. Emanuel Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davor Šuker in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Eliseo Berriotxoa put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Emanuel Podgoreanu. Joel Venceslao hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Eriberto Mirandas short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Karl-Johan Ahlqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eliseo Berriotxoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Emanuel Podgoreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Miranda in the 31st minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Ahlqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Joel Venceslao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davor Šuker in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Podgoreanu saved CSD Concepción from getting behind. Aysan İlbeyi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eriberto Miranda's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. A hard shot 43 in the game by Eriberto Miranda from a close distance when the talented Karl-Johan Ahlqvist managed to make a qualified save. Black Rose 1979's players were relieved. Emanuel Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davor Šuker in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Miranda came free, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseo Berriotxoa to strike the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CSD Concepción's Emanuel Podgoreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save CSD Concepción from getting a goal against them. When CSD Concepción's Nicanor Montxo in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Black Rose 1979's goalie prevented a goal. The Black Rose 1979 players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented CSD Concepción from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
