The coaching staff of Grêmio Bulls protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Geoff Mullen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grêmio Bulls fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! The referee gave TalleresUnited a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joaquin Jaunti, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Grêmio Bulls's Henrique Prata. 0-1. TalleresUnited's Erasmo Mannuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wei Shu Gang in the 11th minute of play. Pedrão Prata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Erasmo Mannuel made a huge save. Henrique Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Egun in the 22nd minute of the match. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Amauri Lucas with Celso Furtado as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wei Shu Gang in the 30th minute of play forced TalleresUnited's goalkeeper Erasmo Mannuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, TalleresUnited's Erasmo Mannuel got control of the ball when Pedrão Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jesus Casado made the kick off in the second half. Grêmio Bulls's Henrique Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Bulls from getting a goal against them. Erasmo Mannuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Prata in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Henrique Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Jesus Casado made a precise shot to the right of Henrique Prata. Grêmio Bulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Grêmio Bulls's Andreas Vokurka was substituted for Pedrão Prata. Grêmio Bulls's Henrique Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Bulls from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesus Casado got free with Henrique Prata in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 minutes Grêmio Bulls's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jesus Casado who took care of the corner kick. In the 90th minute, Rowen Doherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 minutes, Celso Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Bulls and the TalleresUnited players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Grêmio Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos Gomes to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, TalleresUnited's Henrique Prata threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jesus Casado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
