In the 13th minute, Mehmet Ferit İsmet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the game, AFC FUSION's Lino Rios nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivo Guterres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Raul Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Freiburg 09's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC FUSION the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 09's Raul Leal got a free kick in the 17th minute. Ivo Guterres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Rios went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Máximo Lameiras kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ivo Guterres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Rios in the 23rd minute of play. Mario Sesuldo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Lino Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFC FUSION were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after SC Freiburg 09's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dawid Beckham took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SC Freiburg 09's goalie and right to Guido Txindoki. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. SC Freiburg 09's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 31 played minutes SC Freiburg 09 got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Lameiras. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Leal in the 32nd minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Lino Rios notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres. Ivo Guterres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In a very dangerous position, a player in AFC FUSION fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, SC Freiburg 09's Mehmet Ferit İsmet got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Roberto Eztebe. After some careless play in the SC Freiburg 09 defense, Lino Rios kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivo Guterres. The SC Freiburg 09 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivo Guterres should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Lino Rios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Rios in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo Guterres saved SC Freiburg 09 from getting behind. After a rather tough play, AFC FUSION's Romulo Abilio got a free kick in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Leal came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Lino Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Lino Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC FUSION's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Rios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivo Guterres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute Abílio Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lino Rios in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivo Guterres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Lino Rios came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the AFC FUSION fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Rios couldn't finish the play. AFC FUSION's Aureliano Arnau was substituted for Jan Hop. Ivo Guterres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Rios in the 78th minute of the match. A hard shot 79 in the game by Lino Rios from a close distance when the talented Ivo Guterres managed to make a qualified save. SC Freiburg 09's players were relieved. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Bragança in the 90th minute of play. Nuno Bragança succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-7. 93 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Abílio Passos came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The AFC FUSION players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
