In the 16th minute, Fabricio Ebardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafino Mambru stood somewhat misplaced when Genaro Remicio came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 31 minute. The 无锡联队 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Wæversø should have stopped the shot. Serafino Mambru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 崔扬霖, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Zeledon Aurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Valentin Wæversø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Serafino Mambru successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 46 minutes into the match, Saint Etienne FC's goalkeeper Serafino Mambru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genaro Remicio. Zeledon Aurre struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Valentin Wæversø didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saint Etienne FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Aurre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Zeledon Aurre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saint Etienne FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Aurre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentin Wæversø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Crispo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Saint Etienne FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Crispo. Zeledon Aurre's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Valentin Wæversø skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 65 minutes into the match, Genaro Remicio notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Saint Etienne FC's Serafino Mambru. Serafino Mambru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 70 minutes into the match, 无锡联队's goalkeeper Valentin Wæversø had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Aurre. After a rather tough play, Saint Etienne FC's Benedicto Crispo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute Genaro Remicio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Mambru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, 崔扬霖 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Serafino Mambru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 无锡联队's 赵南珂 was substituted for Genaro Remicio. 马正益 scored 6-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafino Mambru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeledon Aurre got free with Valentin Wæversø in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 无锡联队's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
