An unexpectedly hard shot by Paco Everett in the 19th minute of play forced Legia Stavanger's goalkeeper Stein Naas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Markus Tømmervik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Legia Stavanger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 25 played minutes Legia Stavanger got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Moseng. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paco Everett in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stein Naas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stein Naas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Everett in the 31st minute of play. Stein Naas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drake Sobczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Paco Everett might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stein Naas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paco Everett ran back to his position shaking his head. Bath Boyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon-Erik Boge in the 38th minute of the match. After 40 minutes of play, Boroondara Milan's Paco Everett made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stein Naas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bath Boyce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markus Tømmervik's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. If Kris Pearse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Markus Tømmervik made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Oliver Moseng in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Boroondara Milan's Rolando Luckham. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paco Everett got free with Stein Naas in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stein Naas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. 65 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Håvard Opdal came free, but Bath Boyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paco Everett struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Stein Naas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boroondara Milan. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Kris Pearse took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Stein Naas to make any attempt to save it. In the 80th minute, Jason Sperling reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stein Naas. The goal made the score 1-4. Paco Everetts short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Stein Naas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Boroondara Milan's Kris Pearse was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 89th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
