Legia Stavanger's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Leopoldo Rosa scored to the left of an out of position Slavcho Kanov, making the score, 1-4. Slavcho Kanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Buckner, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 72 minutes Legia Stavanger's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claudio Cerritos who took care of the corner kick. Wei Li was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 77th minute, Alfred Klawki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Legia Stavanger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. 79 minutes into the game, Gjermund Viste was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legia Stavanger's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dep Colonia Avellaneda the free kick. After 79 played minutes Legia Stavanger got a freekick which was hit by Gjermund Viste. Gjermund Viste's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Bernaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Leopoldo Rosa took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Slavcho Kanov. Slavcho Kanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Leopoldo Rosa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Slavcho Kanov. That made the score 2-7 after 91 minutes of play.
