Gaetano Mathieu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Leite in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Vito Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Resistencia's Gaetano Mathieu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dagoberto Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Dagoberto Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dobromir Brudnicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Leite came free, but Gaetano Mathieu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dagoberto Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Martinez in the 20th minute of play. In the 27th minute Freddy Sabin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dobromir Brudnickis short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Gaetano Mathieu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Gaetano Mathieu managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Cöpacabana FC's Dobromir Brudnicki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Resistencia's Genaro Illan got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Joaquín Gonzalez Del Solar in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Resistencia's Genaro Illan. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Freddy Sabin made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Cöpacabana FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Loureiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Bakker. Vito Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaetano Mathieu having to interfere. Cöpacabana FC's Dagoberto Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Sabin in the 58th minute of play. Hugo Bakker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dagoberto Loureiro made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Hugo Bakker sent off a good shot on target. Gaetano Mathieu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dobromir Brudnicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cöpacabana FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Loureiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute Resistencia were awarded a corner. Hugo Bakker went to the cornerflag to take it. Hugo Bakker came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dagoberto Loureiro could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Benet in the 91st minute of play forced Resistencia's goalkeeper Gaetano Mathieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cöpacabana FC were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Resistencia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Talha İstanbul took the corner. Cöpacabana FC's Talha İstanbul was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gaetano Mathieu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dagoberto Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Sabin in the 96th minute of the match. Resistencia were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
