An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Librado in the 5th minute of play forced WWW LENINGRAD's goalkeeper Göksel Koral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Pierres scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Göksel Koral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Pierres in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Göksel Koral saved WWW LENINGRAD from getting behind. 13 minutes in the game, Virgilio Quinto dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Göksel Koral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Pierres's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Marcial Orlandus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislav Karpov in the 19th minute of the match. When Guanacos's Paulo Pierres in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye WWW LENINGRAD's goalie prevented a goal. Guanacos were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after WWW LENINGRAD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricardo Hug took the corner. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by WWW LENINGRAD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ricardo Hug was slow to take the kick. During this time Guanacos's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Guanacos's corner Ricardo Hug fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Göksel Koral quite easily take care of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Stanislav Karpov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcial Orlandus, 1-1. Melquiades Librado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Göksel Koral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After 35 minutes WWW LENINGRAD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardo Hug who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Guanacos's Melquiades Librado to a score. 1-2 in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Paulo Pierres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Göksel Koral. WWW LENINGRAD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Pierres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 42nd minute, Paulo Pierres made a precise shot to the right of Göksel Koral. WWW LENINGRAD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. WWW LENINGRAD's Filipp Abdullin was substituted for Buba Kastorskiy. Paulo Pierres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Göksel Koral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Göksel Koral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 56th minute Paulo Pierres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göksel Koral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Virgilio Quinto in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 79 minutes into the match, Guanacos's Paulo Pierres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Göksel Koral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Göksel Koral was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Paulo Pierres capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo Pierres really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Guanacos made a substitution. Eustaquio Martxelin replaced Paulo Pierres. In the 87th minute of the match Guanacos got a corner. WWW LENINGRAD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The audience was convinced that Eustaquio Martxelin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göksel Koral was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The Guanacos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
