In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pauliström's goalkeeper Malcolm Wall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Henry Näver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hudson Arósio was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. After having played for 7 minutes, Cipriano Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 15th match minute, Santo Amaro AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Folke Melin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santo Amaro AC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thor Abrahamsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Pauliström's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Pauliström's Thor Abrahamsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Hudson Arósio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pauliström's zone, Cipriano Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcolm Wall came out of the goal and Cipriano Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Santo Amaro AC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Hermes in the 35th minute of play forced Pauliström's goalkeeper Malcolm Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hudson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thor Abrahamsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Pauliström got a corner. Santo Amaro AC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thor Abrahamsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Albert Andberg managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The Pauliström players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santo Amaro AC were winning 0-1.

Malcolm Wall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cipriano Hermes in the 51st minute. Hudson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Melin, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Santo Amaro AC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano de Senna hit a great ball. Hudson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Näver in the 61st minute of play. Henry Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the game, Ernani Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santo Amaro AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pauliström the free kick. In the 67th minute, Ernani Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Amaro AC's Leonel Arósio was substituted for Wincent Pawlik. The supporters of Pauliström booed when Santo Amaro AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henry Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Santo Amaro AC's Zé Roberto Machado got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Santo Amaro AC's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Melin came free, but Hudson Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cipriano Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Cipriano Hermes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Malcolm Wall, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Pauliström's Alexander Lundström got a free kick in the 86th minute. Henry Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
