After 2 minutes of play, Persepolis F.C.'s Danny Craig made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 6th minute, Arden Poulin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Persepolis F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 10 minutes into the game, Arden Poulin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. André Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th minute Arden Poulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tapera's Robinho Silveira got a free kick in the 15th minute. Abraham Dutton scored 0-5 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Arden Poulin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Sousa. Tapera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arden Poulin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The audience was convinced that Justo Carlomagno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Sousa was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Tapera's André Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avery Merrill in the 39th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Santos Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Gwidon Seliga notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Tapera's André Sousa. André Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47th match minute, Tapera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arden Poulin to make the kick off. Danny Craig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but André Sousa made a huge save. In the 53rd minute, Persepolis F.C.'s Avery Merrill ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind André Sousa. André Sousa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. Justo Carlomagno who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of André Sousa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Danny Craig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but André Sousa made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arden Poulin in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Sousa made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Justo Carlomagno sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Poulin in the 64th minute of play forced Tapera's goalkeeper André Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Sousa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Avery Merrill showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 65 minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, Persepolis F.C.'s Arden Poulin made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Tapera defense, Arden Poulin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Sousa. The Tapera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Sousa should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Persepolis F.C.'s Avery Merrill slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of André Sousa. That made the score 0-16 after 77 minutes of play. With a little luck, Tapera's André Sousa got control of the ball when Arden Poulin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arden Poulins short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got André Sousa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. André Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avery Merrill in the 82nd minute of play. André Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arden Poulin went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-18 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute, Persepolis F.C.'s Arden Poulin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-19. In the 95th minute, Arden Poulin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-20.
