Reac Futebol Clube's 陆昂国 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Laureys in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Katowice i Kluczbork got a corner. Reac Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julian Jaszcz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Roland Laureys advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 22nd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Katowice i Kluczbork's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Diniz came free, but Arkadiusz Smolarek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Katowice i Kluczbork booed when Reac Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Frejaskov ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Reac Futebol Clube defense, Adelino Bastos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 陆昂国. The Reac Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 陆昂国 should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, João Vítor Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vágner Diniz was the one to do the kick off.
