The Diamond Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléberson Alves should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Albertinho Borges recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Natalio Heli. Albertinho Borges showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Albertinho Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diamond Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertinho Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Heli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Amado Ibar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cléberson Alves. Diamond Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Ibar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Soeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natalio Heli was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertinho Borges got free with Natalio Heli in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Orlando Dabi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natalio Heli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Borges in the 35th minute of the match. If Alexandre Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Baumer's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Ismael Baumer sped through Diamond Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cléberson Alves. The supporters of Diamond Football Club booed when Tierra del Fuego FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Pirmin didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amado Ibar made a kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Nico Corrêa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diamond Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tierra del Fuego FC the free kick. In the 93rd minute of the match, Angelo Iturri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cléberson Alves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 96th minute, Alexandre Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
