SeleSantos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niilo Mikkola in the 11th minute. With a little luck, SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro got control of the ball when Augustin Ştefănuţ tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niilo Mikkola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Hermansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Törnqvist in the 21st minute of play forced BlueLionesse's goalkeeper Jonas Hermansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrão Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. BlueLionesse's Jonas Hermansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save BlueLionesse from getting a goal against them. 96 minutes into the match, Leif Törnqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Hermansson. BlueLionesse's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leif Törnqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. BlueLionesse's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
