In the 12th minute, Amedeo Melis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BlueLionesse fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Ştefănuţ in the 15th minute of play. If Amedeo Melis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Niilo Mikkola recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonas Hermansson. Niilo Mikkola showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, BlueLionesse's goalkeeper Jonas Hermansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacobo Casado. BlueLionesse's Jonas Hermansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save BlueLionesse from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Ştefănuţ came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinei Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Melis, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amedeo Melis in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. After 43 played minutes BlueLionesse got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Gheondea. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Ştefănuţ in the 46th minute of play. With a little luck, BlueLionesse's Jonas Hermansson got control of the ball when Jacobo Casado tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Jonas Hermansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niilo Mikkola in the 52nd minute of play. When BlueLionesse's Augustin Ştefănuţ in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Pompiliu Minea fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BlueLionesse's protests and gave Pompiliu Minea a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SeleSantos FC booed when BlueLionesse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Minea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, one of BlueLionesse:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BlueLionesse. Niilo Mikkola took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Hermansson. Jonas Hermansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 76 minutes into the match, Pedrão Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Hermansson. BlueLionesse's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrão Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Leif Törnqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Ştefănuţ came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kılıçhan Ekici kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Amedeo Melis could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Dinei Pinheiro however easily saved by the left post. 95 minutes into the game, Niilo Mikkola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Jonas Hermansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that SeleSantos FC were the better team. SeleSantos FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
