With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ezequiel Ortiz in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovânio Hoffmann saved Olímpico FC from getting behind. If Ezequiel Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Olímpico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Ortiz came free, but Geovânio Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaur Laving made a great header on Torreão OFF's corner, it was just that Olímpico FC's Geovânio Hoffmann managed to reach the ball for a save. When Ezequiel Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Torreão OFF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Ortiz couldn't finish the play. Geovânio Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezequiel Ortiz's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Ortiz in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovânio Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Carvalho got free with Zézinho Freitas in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Ortiz in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovânio Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Torreão OFF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kaur Laving in the 38th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Ezequiel Ortiz advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 38th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Torreão OFF's goalkeeper Zézinho Freitas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Carvalho. After the first half Torreão OFF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Ortiz to make the kick off. Geovânio Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
