Orlando Chepe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Orlando Chepe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ezequiel Ortiz went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Torreão OFF's Kaur Laving got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Ezequiel Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Chepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Emmanuel got free with Zézinho Freitas in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mario Alberto Millar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Zézinho Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Emmanuel came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zézinho Freitas could save by the left post. 47 minutes into the match, Torreão OFF's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Ladio came free, but Zézinho Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Emmanuel was the one to do the kick off. Hydra's Domingos Taurino was substituted for David Beckham. Orlando Chepe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Ortiz in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Ezequiel Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torreão OFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Chepe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torreão OFF's Victor Aristizábal was substituted for Ezequiel Ortiz.
