Candelaria FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adrian Ivana ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Villarreal FK's Adrian Ivana to fire away a dangerous shot which Tomás Bonifaco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Okanalp Özdil in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Okanalp Özdil in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oswaldo Paraíba saved Villarreal FK from getting behind. When Villarreal FK's Fabio Di Giambattista in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Candelaria FC's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Villarreal FK's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Marquez came free, but Oswaldo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Villarreal FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Candelaria FC the free kick. Eugen Kohútik hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Oswaldo Paraíba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Okanalp Özdil went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Okanalp Özdil in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oswaldo Paraíba saved Villarreal FK from getting behind. After 27 minutes Candelaria FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adrian Ivana who took care of the corner kick. Oswaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Okanalp Özdil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okanalp Özdil in the 34th minute of play forced Villarreal FK's goalkeeper Oswaldo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Di Giambattista came free, but Tomás Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Bonifaco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Ivana in the 45th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Adrian Ivana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Bonifaco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabio Di Giambattista was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Ivana came free, but Tomás Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Marquez in the 56th minute. Arnaldo Marquez came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oswaldo Paraíba could save by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Okanalp Özdil made a precise shot to the right of Oswaldo Paraíba. Villarreal FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Okanalp Özdil took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswaldo Paraíba. Candelaria FC's Sven-Olof Sjöberg was substituted for Arnaldo Marquez. In the 72nd minute, Okanalp Özdil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oswaldo Paraíba was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. After a defensive mix-up in Candelaria FC's zone, Fabio Di Giambattista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Bonifaco came out of the goal and Fabio Di Giambattista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Okanalp Özdil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Okanalp Özdil in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Candelaria FC's Marciano Lekubegi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oswaldo Paraíba in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Okanalp Özdil might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oswaldo Paraíba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Okanalp Özdil ran back to his position shaking his head. Villarreal FK's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okanalp Özdil in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Villarreal FK booed when Candelaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Olof Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Di Giambattista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oswaldo Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Olof Sjöberg's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villarreal FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marciano Lekubegi was slow to take the kick. During this time Candelaria FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Candelaria FC's Marciano Lekubegi to fire away a dangerous shot which Oswaldo Paraíba despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Candelaria FC played a much better game than Villarreal FK and deserved their victory. The Villarreal FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
