An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Barowicz in the 15th minute of play forced FC Santo Giorgio's goalkeeper Chico Vass to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Dominik Barowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Vass saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Santo Giorgio's Zico Zidane was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ryszard Golaszewski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Zico Zidane put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ryszard Golaszewski. The audience was convinced that Beniamin Golembiewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chico Vass was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Cesare Pirlo's late challenge caught a Piast Leszczyny's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Piast Leszczyny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacy Petka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvano Laurin was the one to do the kick off. FC Santo Giorgio's Chico Vass proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save FC Santo Giorgio from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC Santo Giorgio's David Herbruger got a free kick in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the game, Piast Leszczyny's Dawid Szotek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chico Vass made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Piast Leszczyny's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
