The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Edwin Van den Bossche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hornbosteler SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Edwin Van den Bossche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fredo Rösch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyprian Gierlach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Philipp Darmstadt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles-Antoine Carnevalli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Hornbosteler SV's Charles-Antoine Carnevalli threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oriano Junco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 26 minutes into the match, Hornbosteler SV's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprian Gierlach came free, but Fredo Rösch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 played minutes Hornbosteler SV got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Gronau. In the 31st minute of the match Danko Fuchs shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fredo Rösch showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 41st minute FC Vershina ESPN were awarded a corner. Danko Fuchs went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Fernandinho Braga heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 46th minute, Thor Eriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cyprian Gierlach to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Hornbosteler SV's Edwin Van den Bossche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles-Antoine Carnevalli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aristides Domenec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Fredo Rösch made a huge save. In the 71st minute of the match, Cyprian Gierlach tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fredo Rösch saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 72nd minute, Thor Eriksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fredo Rösch was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Fredo Rösch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thor Eriksson in the 77th minute. With his leg Fredo Rösch managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when FC Vershina ESPN's Thor Eriksson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fredo Rösch stood somewhat misplaced when Cyprian Gierlach came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 77 minute. 80 minutes into the match, FC Vershina ESPN's goal looked a bit too open when Oriano Junco came free, but Charles-Antoine Carnevalli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Vershina ESPN's Thor Eriksson got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Van den Bossche, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Thor Eriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredo Rösch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Vershina ESPN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
