Ismael Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Mário Mattos fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MAZER SAF's protests and gave Mário Mattos a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 13 minutes, Jacinto Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Gryffindor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chicão de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's goal looked a bit too open when Laurgain Ruiz came free, but Chicão de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Marquinhos Filho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Laurgain Ruiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, MAZER SAF's Jorginho Mello seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jorginho Mello the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of MAZER SAF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jorginho Mello had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MAZER SAF! MAZER SAF:s Ismael Negri showed great skill when he stopped Karl-Erik Magnusson:s penalty. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Quirino made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Mangueira in the 59th minute of play forced MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Ismael Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to MAZER SAF getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Mário Mattos hit a great ball. MAZER SAF's Murillo Lima was substituted for Kang Wei Lin. MAZER SAF's Rafa Alves was substituted for Laurgain Ruiz. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Mário Mattos got a free kick in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the game, C.A Gryffindor's Jacinto Quirino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 66th minute, C.A Gryffindor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Augusto Sein fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ismael Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Quirino in the 71st minute of the match. After some careless play in the MAZER SAF defense, Jacinto Quirino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Negri. The MAZER SAF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Negri should have stopped the shot. C.A Gryffindor's Paredes Pedrera was substituted for Marquinhos Filho. C.A Gryffindor's Guilherme Mazer was substituted for Jacinto Quirino. Murillo Lima made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Augusto Sein however managed to control. With an all-out effort, MAZER SAF's Chicão de Azevedo threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafa Alves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Murillo Lima hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. C.A Gryffindor's Chicão de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save C.A Gryffindor from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Murillo Lima in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C.A Gryffindor's Paredes Pedrera. C.A Gryffindor's Chicão de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Alves in the 90th minute of play. Evaristo Castro's late challenge caught a C.A Gryffindor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Castro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to MAZER SAF getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Evaristo Castro hit a great ball.
