The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zygmunt Koprowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Gary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Donatello came free, but Zygmunt Koprowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélio Donatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zygmunt Koprowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Zygmunt Koprowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Majdoch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th match minute, BVB 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Caragea to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of BVB 09 booed when Jagiellonia Denver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanford Whitten didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes of play, BVB 09's Maxim Sfetcu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Gary was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eric Gary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxim Sfetcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Majdoch in the 34th minute of play forced BVB 09's goalkeeper Zygmunt Koprowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BVB 09's Zygmunt Koprowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 蔡伟洲 in the 36th minute of play. Eric Gary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Sfetcu in the 39th minute of play. Zygmunt Koprowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Majdoch, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Maxim Sfetcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Jagiellonia Denver made a substitution. Özalp Durkaya replaced Sun Lin. In the 51st match minute, BVB 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanouil Kappos to maneuver through the defense. Zygmunt Koprowski was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Per-Olof Åkesson. After some careless play in the BVB 09 defense, Michal Majdoch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zygmunt Koprowski. The BVB 09 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zygmunt Koprowski should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Sfetcu came free, but Eric Gary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BVB 09's Maxim Sfetcu managed to work through Jagiellonia Denver's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Maxim Sfetcu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 64thth minute of the game Florence Diaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BVB 09's Zygmunt Koprowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Hélio Donatello fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. BVB 09's Matei Chelaru was substituted for Octavian Caragea. Jagiellonia Denver made a substitution. Rudolf Garreau replaced Michal Majdoch. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind BVB 09's goalkeeper Zygmunt Koprowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BVB 09's Mădălin Penciulescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eric Gary in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 74 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Donatello came free, but Zygmunt Koprowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Gigel Răduța hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, BVB 09's Gigel Răduța got a free kick in the 79th minute. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Hélio Donatello put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Zygmunt Koprowski. Gigel Răduța kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jagiellonia Denver were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
