Patrick McLennan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 7 played minutes The North Face got a freekick which was hit by Lee Massey. 8 minutes into the match, Jacco Klijnstra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick McLennan. The North Face's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacco Klijnstra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Patrick McLennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, The North Face's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Alvarez came free, but Patrick McLennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Sun Xing Jian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nathan van Aalderen scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick McLennan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Bierunese's Nathan van Aalderen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick McLennan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Bierunese's zone, Lee Massey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Kamps came out of the goal and Lee Massey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Kevin Arnolds notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of The North Face's Patrick McLennan. Patrick McLennan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Arnolds in the 33rd minute of play forced The North Face's goalkeeper Patrick McLennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the The North Face defense, Kevin Arnolds kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick McLennan. The The North Face fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick McLennan should have stopped the shot. Donato Alvarez scored 0-9 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick McLennan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kevin Arnolds to make the kick off. Martin Tinge hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the The North Face defense, Nathan van Aalderen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick McLennan. The The North Face fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick McLennan should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, one of The North Face:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The North Face. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fonso van den Berg during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fonso van den Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, The North Face's Patrick McLennan got control of the ball when Nathan van Aalderen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kevin Arnolds received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Patrick McLennan came out and tried to block the shot, but Kevin Arnolds slotted it home off the left post making it 0-13 in the 73rd minute. After 79 minutes of play, Bierunese's Nathan van Aalderen made it 0-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick McLennan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patrick McLennan made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Nathan van Aalderen sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Bierunese booed when The North Face was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Buchan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Nathan van Aalderen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bierunese's supporters rose to their feet, but Nathan van Aalderen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick McLennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute Kevin Arnolds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick McLennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick McLennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Tinge in the 94th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Fonso van den Berg could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Patrick McLennan however easily saved by the left post. In the 98th match minute, Bierunese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacco Klijnstra to maneuver through the defense. Bierunese's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
