When Oséas Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the RWD Molenbeek fans jumped to their feet. Oséas Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Julian Guillelme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes in the game, Oséas Guimarães fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Julian Guillelme having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquiles Lon in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loris Karius saved RWD Molenbeek from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Guimarães in the 64th minute of play forced Lapachito's goalkeeper Julian Guillelme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Feliciano Raitin could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Loris Karius however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Feliciano Raitin took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Loris Karius to make any attempt to save it. 86 minutes into the match, Oséas Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julian Guillelme. Lapachito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oséas Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 89 minutes into the match, RWD Molenbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Lon came free, but Loris Karius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when Lapachito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karol Zahemski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ofelio Lagunas ran over to the corner to take the kick. RWD Molenbeek's Ofelio Lagunas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julian Guillelme in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
