Bogdan Matela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejandro Jerrald's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Bryant Miles skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Don Malbec came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Charlotte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Malbec couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejandro Jerrald got free with Bryant Miles in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bryant Miles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Charlotte FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jacobo Mark was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atletico Rio Tercero's players had a chance to rest. Jacobo Mark made a great header on Club Atletico Rio Tercero's corner, it was just that Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Gaudencio Romano got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Alvar Öberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Malbec in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's Kaja Jamak broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Don Malbec made a kick off. Bryant Miles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Joachim in the 51st minute of play. Don Malbec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Primo Dunđer fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charlotte FC's protests and gave Primo Dunđer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Charlotte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primo Dunđer to maneuver through the defense. Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Mark in the 56th minute of play. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kaja Jamak ran over to the corner to take the kick. Charlotte FC's Kaja Jamak was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alvar Öberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 63 minutes, Fred Karlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Karlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Hitz in the 68th minute of play forced Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goalkeeper Alvar Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Jacobo Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Miles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaja Jamak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvar Öberg having to interfere. Don Malbec blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvar Öberg having to make a save. Don Malbec's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Alvar Öberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Don Malbec in the 77th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Alvar Öberg kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Charlotte FC's Wander Suzanne was substituted for Braulio Hitz. Charlotte FC made a substitution. Vicente Rafferty replaced Don Malbec. 86 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Mark came free, but Bryant Miles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vicente Rafferty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvar Öberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Rafferty got free with Alvar Öberg in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
