Grzegorz Piechna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Miles having to interfere. Bryant Miles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marty Simpson in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute of the game Pacho Quintianan made a throw-in which David Stenkvist played forward. Don Malbec blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ged Nightingale having to make a save. Bryant Miles made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Larry Ferrell sent off a good shot on target. Primo Dunđer kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Bryant Miles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grzegorz Piechna. Don Malbec might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ged Nightingale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Larry Ferrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bryant Miles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marty Simpson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Marty Simpson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ged Nightingale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Malbec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Arrows Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Verne Young.
