Öllsjö FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 9th minute Yuri Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Massa in the 10th minute of play forced America FC's goalkeeper Gildo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gildo Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Massa in the 18th minute of play. Erivaldo Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arí Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Öllsjö FC's Algot Odin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gildo Furtado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Adriano Massa made the kick off in the second half. Marian Michna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gildo Furtado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Adriano Massa might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gildo Furtado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
