Spectators: 167 (Terracing: 126, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kyle Thake made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Giorgio Caruana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erivaldo Netto. Öllsjö FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giorgio Caruana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 8 played minutes Floriana Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Cedric Axisa. 10 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Massa. In the 12th minute, Adriano Massa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Öllsjö FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Olgierd Dawiec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Erivaldo Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Dawiec in the 20th minute of play forced Öllsjö FC's goalkeeper Erivaldo Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olgierd Dawiec kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Richard Lentini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Massa in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Massa got free with Richard Lentini in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Floriana Celtics's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Karl-Åke Håkansson was slow to take the kick. During this time Öllsjö FC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Marian Michna heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Erivaldo Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgio Caruana in the 38th minute of the match. Richard Lentini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Richard Lentini managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Öllsjö FC's Adriano Massa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Massa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when Öllsjö FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Ove Jernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Netto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olgierd Dawiec went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The corner led to Öllsjö FC's Marian Michna getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Godwin Montesin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erivaldo Netto. Godwin Montesin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis was substituted for Giorgio Caruana. Floriana Celtics's Robby Baggio was substituted for Olgierd Dawiec. 77 minutes into the match, Öllsjö FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Bailey came free, but Erivaldo Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Lentini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Massa's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Erivaldo Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Ellis in the 81st minute of the match. Leonhard Alvits hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Leonhard Alvits kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Claudio Bailey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Adriano Massa came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Öllsjö FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Massa couldn't finish the play. Robby Baggio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erivaldo Netto came out and tried to block the shot, but Robby Baggio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 93rd minute. Erivaldo Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Bailey's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
