In the 42nd minute of the match Yolo got a corner. Cacciola's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eugenio Bartolomucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Iurea in the 46th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 50th minute, Maarten De Malier made a precise shot to the right of Eugenio Bartolomucci. Cacciola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Marziali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Berardinelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Wieslaw Dec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Yolo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cacciola's performance. The match ended with a win for Cacciola.
