Gonzalo Berdaitz came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Lechia Gdańsk's Roch Karbowski. But to his dismay, Roch Karbowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lechia Gdańsk's Dante Vanooteghem got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Punishment's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Zima came free, but Gonzalo Berdaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lechia Gdańsk's Lucjan Lanczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomualdo Sauca in the 15th minute of play. Daniel Chwalkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lucjan Lanczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonzalo Berdaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucjan Lanczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Gieraltowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Remigiusz Czeberowski put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lechia Gdańsk fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Klement Gieraltowski shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Charalambos Pallini kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Renato Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Berdaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernard Burowski kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Janusz Pleban kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Emil Bartocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonzalo Berdaitz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Roch Karbowski. When Tomualdo Sauca came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Punishment fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomualdo Sauca couldn't finish the play. Lucjan Lanczak came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Punishment's Klement Gieraltowski. But to his dismay, Klement Gieraltowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 80 minutes into the match, Punishment's goalkeeper Gonzalo Berdaitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roch Karbowski. Renato Chaves charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renato Chaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Renato Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Tomualdo Sauca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punishment's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomualdo Sauca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucjan Lanczak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Punishment's Konstanty Nowacki got a free kick in the 88th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Renato Chaves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gonzalo Berdaitz. That made the score 1-3 in the 89 minute of play. Konstanty Nowacki took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lucjan Lanczak. Lechia Gdańsk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dante Vanooteghem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonzalo Berdaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over Lechia Gdańsk could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Punishment throughout the match.
