In the 13th minute Renato Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislaw Lichucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lechia Gdańsk's Lucjan Lanczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Giubelean in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lechia Gdańsk's goalkeeper Lucjan Lanczak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Cambaratiba's goalkeeper Stanislaw Lichucki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roch Karbowski. In the 24thth minute of the game Renato Chaves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cambaratiba's Stanislaw Lichucki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stanislaw Lichucki made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Roch Karbowski sent off a good shot on target. Renato Chaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stanislaw Lichucki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Renato Chaves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stanislaw Lichucki. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milosz Czerwiec got free with Stanislaw Lichucki in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernard Burowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Moise Stoicu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cambaratiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lechia Gdańsk the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Cambaratiba's Marin Giubelean slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucjan Lanczak. That made the score 1-1 after 57 minutes of play. Cambaratiba made a substitution. Natanael Campidelis replaced Matheus Carvalho. Stanislaw Lichucki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roch Karbowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Stanislaw Lichucki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renato Chaves's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Marin Giubelean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucjan Lanczak was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 70th minute, Marin Giubelean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remigiusz Czeberowski hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lechia Gdańsk's zone, Yuri Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucjan Lanczak came out of the goal and Yuri Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cambaratiba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roch Karbowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Lechia Gdańsk's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Renato Chaves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stanislaw Lichucki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Stanislaw Lichucki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Cambaratiba's Stanislaw Lichucki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milosz Czerwiec in the 83rd minute of play. Marin Giubelean might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucjan Lanczak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marin Giubelean ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Lechia Gdańsk's Lucjan Lanczak got control of the ball when Marin Giubelean tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Cambaratiba booed when Lechia Gdańsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Fenieux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cambaratiba made a substitution. Marcus Aparecido replaced Marin Giubelean. After 96 played minutes Lechia Gdańsk got a freekick which was hit by Edward Fenieux.
