The referee ignored Trabzon's protests and gave Fodil Otman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Trabzon's Fodil Otman got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Mustafa Hamit Kutlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Seabra, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 5th minute Edgar Miodek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Hamit Kutlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Gencer Uluöz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ke Kun, passed just outside the right post. Mustafa Hamit Kutlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Simão in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Miodek in the 19th minute of play forced Trabzon's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Kutlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fodil Otman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, The Punisher's goalkeeper Ke Kun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fodil Otman. In the 30th minute Trabzon were awarded a corner. Keijo Kungla went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Gencer Uluöz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fodil Otman in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ke Kun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Trabzon getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Fodil Otman hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Jo Adler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fodil Otman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adriano Seabra kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Fodil Otman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzon's supporters rose to their feet, but Fodil Otman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ke Kun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ke Kun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fodil Otman in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Trabzon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fodil Otman to maneuver through the defense. Mustafa Hamit Kutlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Seabra in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Trabzon's Mustafa Hamit Kutlu got control of the ball when Guga Simão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guga Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Mustafa Hamit Kutlu made a huge save. Gencer Uluöz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ke Kun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When The Punisher's Edgar Miodek, in the 69th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for The Punisher. In the 73rd minute, Edgar Miodek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Punisher made a substitution. Nilton Tavares replaced Edgar Miodek. 77 minutes into the match, Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Michail Bakunin came free, but Mustafa Hamit Kutlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Hamit Kutlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After some careless play in the Trabzon defense, Nilton Tavares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Hamit Kutlu. The Trabzon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Hamit Kutlu should have stopped the shot. 87 minutes into the match, Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Paraense came free, but Mustafa Hamit Kutlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Trabzon's Hidayet İlsev seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hidayet İlsev the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Trabzon protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hidayet İlsev had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Trabzon getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Hidayet İlsev hit a great ball. Trabzon's Mustafa Hamit Kutlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Paraense in the 95th minute of play. Mustafa Hamit Kutlu was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Guga Simão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guga Simão really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5.
