After 7 minutes, Ma Kuan Yun made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Black Cloud FC's Tolga Kural tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anıl Cenk Tanacan might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petr Čech. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anıl Cenk Tanacan ran back to his position shaking his head. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anıl Cenk Tanacan in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's Ma Kuan Yun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tolga Kural narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tolga Kural showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ma Kuan Yun, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Petr Čech made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Anıl Cenk Tanacan sent off a good shot on target. Epaminondas Baba might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tolga Kural. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Epaminondas Baba ran back to his position shaking his head. Ma Kuan Yun took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tolga Kural. Tolga Kural dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Sven-Ove Björkqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petr Čech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Björkqvist in the 36th minute of play forced Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Black Cloud FC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Batalhão do Peçanha's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Kağan Kutsoy took the corner. The corner led Black Cloud FC's Ahmet Kağan Kutsoy to fire away a dangerous shot which Petr Čech despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Anıl Cenk Tanacan struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Petr Čech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Cloud FC. Epaminondas Baba's late challenge caught a Black Cloud FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Epaminondas Baba helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Batalhão do Peçanha getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Epaminondas Baba hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Batalhão do Peçanha's Eppo Pollmann got a free kick in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Kağan Kutsoy in the 45th minute of play forced Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Batalhão do Peçanha were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ma Kuan Yun to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Zeynel Hükümran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Anıl Cenk Tanacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Batalhão do Peçanha's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Ove Björkqvist in the 58th minute of play. In the 68th minute Ma Kuan Yun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolga Kural saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ma Kuan Yun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tolga Kural made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ma Kuan Yun in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Batalhão do Peçanha booed when Black Cloud FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Campitelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Black Cloud FC made a substitution. Reginaldo Silveira replaced Ahmet Kağan Kutsoy. Aldo Campitelli kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Ma Kuan Yun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zeynel Hükümran made in the 83rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Reginaldo Silveira immediately put the ball in play. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Motyl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tolga Kural showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ma Kuan Yun in the 88th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Tolga Kural successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Batalhão do Peçanha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Batalhão do Peçanha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
