Matei Răducu made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Marian Banas sent off a good shot on target. Pedrinho Siqueira hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Di Blasio came free, but Enzo Noce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Marian Banas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Matei Răducu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute Harm de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Noce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's Marian Banas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matei Răducu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matei Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Kenneth Skog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Banas in the 40th minute of play. Vágner Porto charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner Porto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes MarquinhosEC got a freekick which was hit by Vágner Porto. Matei Răducu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Odysseas Lagidis. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

50 minutes into the match, Marian Banas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matei Răducu. MarquinhosEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marian Banas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. MarquinhosEC's Inácio Freitas was substituted for Alessandro do Valle. Inácio Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Noce having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Di Blasio in the 72nd minute of play forced The Nerd Herd's goalkeeper Enzo Noce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Noce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Banas came free, but Matei Răducu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's Inácio Freitas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enzo Noce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enzo Noce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Freitas's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. If Inácio Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Nerd Herd's Marian Banas got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Di Blasio came free, but Enzo Noce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute MarquinhosEC were awarded a corner. Marco Tardelli went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Vágner Porto managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The The Nerd Herd support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
