MILO's protests and gave Shao Lin Yan a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes C.A. MILO got a freekick which was hit by Shao Lin Yan. After 4 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Luke Clist. 5 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Alfonso came free, but Régis de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. MILO's goalkeeper Bonifacio Roca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Régis de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Pereyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Bonifacio Roca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olimpiu Şelaru hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Régis de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Alfonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Leonardo Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Roca having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Luke Clist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bonifacio Roca. C.A. MILO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luke Clist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 25th minute, Samuel Valgma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Simões in the 33rd minute of play forced C.A. MILO's goalkeeper Bonifacio Roca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bonifacio Roca came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeiras's Leonardo Donato. But to his dismay, Leonardo Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Régis de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Pereyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Martinez. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Pereyra was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Donato. Kléberson Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaston Alfonso hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes C.A. MILO got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Alfonso. In the 69th minute Gaston Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.A. MILO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaston Alfonso in the 70th minute. The corner ended in Gaston Alfonso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós did a great save. In the 78th minute Gaston Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bonifacio Roca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.A. MILO made a substitution. Ildefonso Gonsalvo replaced Samuel Valgma. 84 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Martinez came free, but Régis de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MILO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Qarabulud La Forgia came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Qarabulud La Forgia couldn't finish the play. Ronaldo Martinez charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Martinez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to C.A. MILO getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ronaldo Martinez hit a great ball. Palmeiras made a substitution. Luís Gustavo Simão replaced Tarcisio Reis. After 95 played minutes C.A. MILO got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Martinez. Palmeiras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
