It was a penalty for Hertha 1969! 20 minutes into the game, Jim Brandt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rune Jarstein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Łukasz Fabiański showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moritz Hasenjäger, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute Delmiro Peru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes, Uriel Lleir made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Benedikt Bensch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Łukasz Fabiański was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 38 minutes, Anastasio Garaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Garaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uriel Lleir struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Rune Jarstein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motu. Łukasz Fabiański showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Motu getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Delmiro Peru hit a great ball. Motu made a substitution. Hipolito Osmundo replaced Uriel Lleir. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Wilhelm Nienhaus made the kick off in the second half. Motu's Łukasz Fabiański played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 58th minute of play forced Motu's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Motu's Justo Stanislao was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rune Jarstein in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 71st minute, Hipolito Osmundo made a precise shot to the right of Rune Jarstein. Hertha 1969's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Osmundo in the 75th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Łukasz Fabiański made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gigel Elenescu sent off a good shot on target. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Osmundo in the 79th minute of play. Jim Brandt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Peru came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hipolito Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Łukasz Fabiański didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 88th minute, which inside left pole to 3-2. After 93 played minutes Motu got a freekick which was hit by Justo Stanislao. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hertha 1969 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Motu.
