In the 11th minute, one of KFC Uerdingen 05:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KFC Uerdingen 05. 15 minutes into the match, U.S.Normande's goalkeeper Mikael Damm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Bannenbusch. Mikael Damm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Bannenbusch in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to U.S.Normande getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Youri Borderie hit a great ball. Mikael Damm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Bannenbusch in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Bannenbusch in the 24th minute of play forced U.S.Normande's goalkeeper Mikael Damm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U.S.Normande's Mikael Damm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save U.S.Normande from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Rolf Custermans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tymoteusz Mios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri Borderie, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 39th minute Mike Constantin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tymoteusz Mios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Simon Bannenbusch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Uerdingen 05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

After 58 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Brian Laudrup. With a little luck, KFC Uerdingen 05's Tymoteusz Mios got control of the ball when Mike Constantin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paolo Tano hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Youri Borderie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tymoteusz Mios having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Aurélien Mussard could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Tymoteusz Mios however easily saved by the left post. KFC Uerdingen 05's Tymoteusz Mios proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Uerdingen 05 from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, U.S.Normande's goal looked a bit too open when Hartwig Engelhardt came free, but Mikael Damm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
