The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute İlmi Akıncıbey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Kullgren in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Arktis BoIS's Jörn Kullgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 17th minute İlmi Akıncıbey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Håkansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlmi Akıncıbey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Eriksen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mattias Håkansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Mattias Håkansson made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Christian Eriksen sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute, İlmi Akıncıbey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mattias Håkansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 39thth minute of the game İlmi Akıncıbey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sverker Biörkquist in the 41st minute of play forced Karlsborg's goalkeeper Mattias Håkansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Sverker Biörkquist in the 41st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Sune Nyberg hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Matthias Borre fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlsborg's protests and gave Matthias Borre a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Arktis BoIS booed when Karlsborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Borre didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when İlmi Akıncıbey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mattias Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Kullgren in the 52nd minute of play. Mattias Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvin Lundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After some careless play in the Karlsborg defense, Jörn Kullgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mattias Håkansson. The Karlsborg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mattias Håkansson should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tor Brolin hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İlmi Akıncıbey in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mattias Håkansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Arktis BoIS's İlmi Akıncıbey in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karlsborg's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Karlsborg's zone, Alvin Lundin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Håkansson came out of the goal and Alvin Lundin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlmi Akıncıbey in the 66th minute of play. İlmi Akıncıbey scored 6-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mattias Håkansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlmi Akıncıbey in the 70th minute of play forced Karlsborg's goalkeeper Mattias Håkansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İlmi Akıncıbey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattias Håkansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvin Lundin in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Arktis BoIS were awarded a corner. Constantino Bartoleme went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Arktis BoIS's corner Constantino Bartoleme fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mattias Håkansson quite easily take care of the ball. When Arktis BoIS's Jörn Kullgren in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karlsborg's goalie prevented a goal. Mattias Håkansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İlmi Akıncıbey's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 81stth minute of the game İlmi Akıncıbey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arktis BoIS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Constantino Bartoleme in the 83rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Constantino Bartoleme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mattias Håkansson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that İlmi Akıncıbey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Håkansson was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Jörn Kullgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mattias Håkansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Wiktor Karlstedt hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Karlsborg's goal looked a bit too open when İlmi Akıncıbey came free, but Mattias Håkansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arktis BoIS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
