The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miladin Kirichev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Miladin Kirichev took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri to make any attempt to save it. 19 minutes into the game, Ernesto Belarmo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri. Ernesto Belarmo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Jonas Tauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lukács Bánhegyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Tauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Hungarian Olympic's Ernesto Belarmo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Endre Révész in the 33rd minute of the match. Ernesto Belarmo kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 34thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Club Atlético Escocia's keeper Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 39 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Belarmo. Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Escocia from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Hungarian Olympic booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Caponi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Belarmo in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Ernesto Belarmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Escocia's zone, Edmund Eliasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri came out of the goal and Edmund Eliasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Belarmo made a kick off. Club Atlético Escocia's Aquiles Lazcano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Teo Honesto in the 52 minute of the game. 55 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Escocia's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Belarmo came free, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lukács Bánhegyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Gagriel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Belarmo in the 64th minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungarian Olympic's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Endre Révész in the 71st minute. In the 74thth minute of the game Ernesto Belarmo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Escocia defense, Ernesto Belarmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri. The Club Atlético Escocia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri should have stopped the shot. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungarian Olympic's Miladin Kirichev. But to his dismay, Miladin Kirichev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Miladin Kirichev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute Ernesto Belarmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hungarian Olympic fully deserved thier win.
