A collision led to POPODARA F.C getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Bendik Bekken hit a great ball. Joe Herring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 5th minute Joe Herring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Revheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Joe Herring's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Revheim was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th minute of the match Valencia C.F. got a corner. POPODARA F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Farré ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joe Herring scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Revheim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner led Valencia C.F.'s Guillermo Farré to fire away a dangerous shot which Thomas Revheim despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jerry Lodge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bendik Bekken in the 21st minute of play. Joe Herring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Thomas Revheim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerry Lodge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gard Bredesen in the 26th minute of the match. Emílio Nóbrega was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 35 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s Yuan Wei Han sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Revheim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yuan Wei Han kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Federico Mauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Joe Herring managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valencia C.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Joe Herring was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Revheim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gard Bredesen was the one to do the kick off. Thomas Revheim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joe Herring went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, POPODARA F.C's Thomas Revheim got control of the ball when Joe Herring tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jerry Lodge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Mauro in the 59th minute of play. Ryan Plumber hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joe Herring in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Revheim saved POPODARA F.C from getting behind. Bendik Bekken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joe Herring's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Revheim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After 69 minutes POPODARA F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guillermo Farré who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Guillermo Farré almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but POPODARA F.C's Thomas Revheim did a great save. 71 minutes into the game, one of Valencia C.F.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jerry Lodge had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Bendik Bekken's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ådne Svensen in the 88th minute of play forced Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 minutes of play, POPODARA F.C's Ådne Svensen made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerry Lodge was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute of the match, Joe Herring tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thomas Revheim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Valencia C.F. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for POPODARA F.C.
