Average Joes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wincenty Tarka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Richard Reiss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Saba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pastor Lano during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mertesdorf FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Pastor Lano hit a great ball. Filip Flink took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Richard Reiss. Mertesdorf FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Average Joes's Victoriano Abel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincenty Tarka in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes Average Joes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xie Guang Fei who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Xie Guang Fei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mertesdorf FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xie Guang Fei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Abel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincenty Tarka in the 33rd minute of play forced Average Joes's goalkeeper Victoriano Abel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Pastor Lano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victoriano Abel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 92 played minutes, Average Joes's Jo Blanchaert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richard Reiss came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Average Joes reached it. Jakob Stevens was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Mertesdorf FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jakob Stevens hit a great ball. Richard Reiss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yavuz Bülent Özger's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Richard Reiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Askestät in the 98th minute of play. Average Joes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
