Beto Sola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Remo Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcio Carreira's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. FCSB CUENCA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Samuel Dracena in the 15th minute. Marcio Carreira was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Remo Fontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tiago Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Juan Fuentes hit a great ball. FCSB CUENCA's Beto Sola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex de Medeiros in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by FCSB CUENCA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Onur Kaya was slow to take the kick. During this time Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Olivar in the 36th minute of play forced Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Remo Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Remo Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Americo Olivar. In the 42nd minute Alex de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto Sola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wambasther van Dijk hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Spiros Bekyros put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Remo Fontes. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Spiros Bekyros to strike the kick off in the second half. Osvaldinho Hoffmann took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beto Sola. Beto Sola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. FCSB CUENCA's Beto Sola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onur Kaya in the 63rd minute of play. Remo Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Olivar in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Americo Olivar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Aires Arzumendi was substituted for Osvaldinho Hoffmann. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Diego Souza was substituted for Alex de Medeiros. The supporters of Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ booed when FCSB CUENCA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Olivar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Tiago Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Onur Kaya came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onur Kaya couldn't finish the play. Remo Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Americo Olivar, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the game, Diego Souza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Beto Sola. Diego Souza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Remo Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcio Carreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FCSB CUENCA's zone, Diego Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Sola came out of the goal and Diego Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remo Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Olivar in the 89th minute of play. Beto Sola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. FCSB CUENCA's Americo Olivar got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Beto Sola made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcio Carreira in the 97th minute of play forced Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Remo Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
