Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Mayo's Patrick Robins was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Marcus Deacon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Rios in the 6th minute of play. Cristobal Goito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Des Gill, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 14th match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Deacon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Rios in the 15th minute of the match. David Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Marcus Deacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Des Gill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Cristobal Goito made a huge save. With a little luck, Carabata Groove's Cristobal Goito got control of the ball when Des Gill tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Marcus Deacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Deacon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rios in the 32nd minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when David Rios came free, but Marcus Deacon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Rios in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Deacon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the match, Mauro Elazar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mayo's Marcus Deacon. Marcus Deacon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Mauro Elazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Carabata Groove's Esteve Urtungo was substituted for David Rios. Carabata Groove's Hermengildo Bazkoare was substituted for Mauro Elazar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hauk Hareide made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hauk Hareide. Hauk Hareide could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Marcus Deacon made a huge save. A collision led to Carabata Groove getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Zachary Bielenda hit a great ball. Cristobal Goito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Des Gill in the 63rd minute of the match. Marcus Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Bazkoare, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Marcus Deacon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermengildo Bazkoare went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Des Gill in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Goito saved Carabata Groove from getting behind. Marcus Deacon was a little too slow when Hauk Hareide got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-3. Mayo made a substitution. Carabata Groove's Cristobal Goito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Farmer in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Symons to maneuver through the defense. Hauk Hareide might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Deacon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hauk Hareide ran back to his position shaking his head. Hauk Hareide came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcus Deacon could save by the left post. After 95 minutes of play, Carabata Groove's Hauk Hareide made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Deacon was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Carabata Groove players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
