An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Voicu in the 10th minute of play forced XMAS's goalkeeper Concetto Garibaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Voicu scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Concetto Garibaldi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Voicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Concetto Garibaldi having to make a save. In the 18th minute Valentin Voicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Concetto Garibaldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VILLARREAL UNITED's Baraxil Sarrate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Ascoli in the 35th minute of play. Valentin Voicu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Concetto Garibaldi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. If Valentin Voicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Concetto Garibaldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Voicu in the 38th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Voicu was the one to do the kick off. Valentin Voicu might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Concetto Garibaldi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Voicu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-10. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Voicu during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute, Valentin Voicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Concetto Garibaldi. VILLARREAL UNITED's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
