When Tiburcio Oliveiro fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Damian’s Team's protests and gave Tiburcio Oliveiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Tiburcio Oliveiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Couto in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nenko Topchev saved Damian’s Team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Bai Cheng Ning's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Férid Khalifa was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, Gilvan Falcão notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Damian’s Team's Nenko Topchev. Nenko Topchev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nenko Topchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Falcão, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Bai Cheng Ning blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Férid Khalifa having to make a save. Damian’s Team's Bai Cheng Ning got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isaltino Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nenko Topchev having to interfere. Férid Khalifa was a little too slow when Bai Cheng Ning got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bai Cheng Ning got free with Férid Khalifa in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Damian’s Team's Bai Cheng Ning slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Férid Khalifa. That made the score 2-1 after 40 minutes of play. 44 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Oliveiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Férid Khalifa. Tiburcio Oliveiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Bai Cheng Ning blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Férid Khalifa having to make a save. Férid Khalifa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bai Cheng Ning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute of the game Flor Cardona made a throw-in which Cristiano Ubriaco played forward. The supporters of Botafogo MZRJ booed when Damian’s Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flor Cardona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bai Cheng Ning's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Férid Khalifa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Férid Khalifa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bai Cheng Ning in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Damian’s Team were awarded a corner. Rogerio Rocafort went to the cornerflag to take it. Tiburcio Oliveiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Férid Khalifa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Botafogo MZRJ made a substitution. Jailson Capixaba replaced Gilmar Couto. Nenko Topchev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serginho Azevedo went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Nenko Topchev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jailson Capixaba in the 89th minute. Nenko Topchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Bai Cheng Ning made a precise shot to the right of Férid Khalifa. Botafogo MZRJ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Jailson Capixaba in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nenko Topchev, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Damian’s Team's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
