Fonso Zotillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dimitris Fragou in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, meteora 1929's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Capixaba came free, but Soulis Vamvakousis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fonso Zotillo was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Renos Rouvas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Renos Rouvas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Clinton Eastwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Fonso Zotillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 26 in the game by Prodromos Kabourakis from a close distance when the talented Fonso Zotillo managed to make a qualified save. XV de Piracicaba's players were relieved. Renos Rouvas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Soulis Vamvakousis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Capixaba in the 35th minute of the match. Severino Capixaba took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Soulis Vamvakousis. Soulis Vamvakousis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 40th minute, Clinton Eastwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Túlio Jacinto struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Soulis Vamvakousis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for XV de Piracicaba. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Capixaba in the 44th minute of play forced meteora 1929's goalkeeper Soulis Vamvakousis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes of play, meteora 1929's Renos Rouvas made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fonso Zotillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gonzalo Jurdan made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute XV de Piracicaba were awarded a corner. Wen Yong Sha went to the cornerflag to take it. Eurico Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute Simon Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fonso Zotillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in meteora 1929's zone, Gonzalo Jurdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Soulis Vamvakousis came out of the goal and Gonzalo Jurdan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Clinton Eastwood who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The meteora 1929 fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when meteora 1929's Clinton Eastwood looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
