Armando Meireles might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henry Blom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Meireles ran back to his position shaking his head. After 28 minutes Polar Ice Caps's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Carrasqueira who took care of the corner kick. Exército Português's Laurențiu Gaciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Eron in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Armando Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Exército Português's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wiktor Ugla made in the 41st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tord Lundin however managed to control. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Maximiliano Eron made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Polar Ice Caps booed when Exército Português was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Exército Português were the better team. Exército Português's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
