When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

FC Gullegem made a substitution. Yanick De Ketelaere replaced Pierre-Paul Callaerts. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Gullegem the free kick. After 57 played minutes C.A. Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Garcia. Waut Du Molin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benny Stolpe having to make a save. 61 minutes into the game, Waut Du Molin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Benny Stolpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A. Boca Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ion Giurgiu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Gullegem's players had a chance to rest. Benny Stolpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waut Du Molin in the 66th minute of play. Benny Stolpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waut Du Molin in the 71st minute of the match. Waut Du Molin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Stolpe having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Ion Giurgiu notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of C.A. Boca Juniors's Benny Stolpe. Benny Stolpe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Gullegem had played much better football throughout.
