Ettore Petroni took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Gheară. Dan Gheară dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Manfred Konradsson struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Dan Gheară didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lemel SV. After having played for 10 minutes, Ettore Petroni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lemel SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ettore Petroni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Manfred Konradsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Made in Honduras's Alan Brito got a free kick in the 13th minute. Lin Hong Song made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommas Lanphan in the 16th minute of play. Dan Gheară took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Caniggia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp to fire away a dangerous shot which Dan Gheară despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 21st minute Dennis Bergkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Gheară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lemel SV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Claudio Caniggia in the 22nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Claudio Caniggia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dan Gheară quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aladin Bey tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Dan Gheară. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 22nd minute. In the 25th match minute, Lemel SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ettore Petroni to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Made in Honduras's zone, Claudio Caniggia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Gheară came out of the goal and Claudio Caniggia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Caniggia. With a little luck, Lemel SV's Lin Hong Song got control of the ball when Tris Ruddock tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Manfred Konradsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Gheară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Petroni in the 34th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Konradsson in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Gheară prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Will Villanueva hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The supporters of Made in Honduras booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Resel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfred Konradsson to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Manfred Konradsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dennis Bergkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dan Gheară tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Made in Honduras's goalkeeper Dan Gheară had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dennis Bergkamp. The supporters of Lemel SV booed when Made in Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aladin Bey didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dennis Bergkamp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dan Gheară. That made the score 0-5 in the 80 minute of play. Lemel SV made a substitution. Edward Verbeek replaced Dennis Bergkamp. Nicolás Mora hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ettore Petroni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Gheară having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Edward Verbeek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lemel SV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6.
