The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, Alberto Tonete lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Hector Montrel. Newpi Academy's Nereo Jakes got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Alberto Tonete sped through Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hector Montrel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Otsando in the 28th minute of play forced Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goalkeeper Hector Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Antonio Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka defense, Alberto Tonete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Montrel. Newpi Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavino Lauren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 54 minutes, Alberto Tonete made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Hector Montrel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Alberto Tonete sped through Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hector Montrel. The Newpi Academy fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Newpi Academy's Alberto Tonete looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alberto Tonete's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Montrel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Alberto Tonete cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 15-0. Hector Montrel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Newpi Academy fully deserved thier win.
