Nguyễn Chi started the match with the kick off. Lưu Thuyet made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Horacio Silvino sent off a good shot on target. La Mazorca's Karol Kluczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vũ Tấn Dũng in the 12th minute of play. Pedro Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lưu Thuyet having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Duc in the 18th minute of play forced La Mazorca's goalkeeper Karol Kluczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Duc during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Sài Gòn got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Duc. In the 25th minute, Sài Gòn's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Horacio Silvino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Horacio Silvino struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Lưu Thuyet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Mazorca. With a little luck, Sài Gòn's Lưu Thuyet got control of the ball when Horacio Silvino tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Horacio Silvino lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Lưu Thuyet. Mårten Svartengren kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Pedro Fagondo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Horacio Silvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lưu Thuyet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Nguyễn Nga struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Karol Kluczyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sài Gòn. In the 46th minute, Nguyễn Chi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sài Gòn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horacio Silvino to make the kick off. La Mazorca's Karol Kluczyk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save La Mazorca from getting a goal against them. In the 54th minute, Horacio Silvino made a precise shot to the right of Lưu Thuyet. Sài Gòn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A collision led to La Mazorca getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Silverio Flor hit a great ball. Huỳnh Dung recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karol Kluczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Nga in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Horacio Silvino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lưu Thuyet. Sài Gòn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Silvino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 68 minutes into the match, Sài Gòn's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Silvino came free, but Lưu Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Nguyễn Chi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Kluczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Sài Gòn's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Silvino came free, but Lưu Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horacio Silvino in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lưu Thuyet saved Sài Gòn from getting behind. Mårten Svartengren kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. La Mazorca's Bogumil Burowski was substituted for Pedro Fagondo. A collision led to La Mazorca getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mårten Svartengren hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Sài Gòn defense, Horacio Silvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lưu Thuyet. The Sài Gòn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lưu Thuyet should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Horacio Silvino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lưu Thuyet was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 94th minute, Horacio Silvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La Mazorca's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
